[When to replace your old amulet/talisman with a new one]

- Approximately one year from the date you received it
※It seems that many shrines and temples, not just ours, often state that blessings and divine protection expire after about one year.
At Omamori Kyoto Ippitsuryu, if you return your amulet/talisman (by mail), we will offer prayers of gratitude and perform "otakiage" (a ceremonial burning) at Nyoizan Toji-ji Temple of the Koyasan Shingon sect. Before returning it, please offer prayers of "gratitude and thanks" for the divine protection you received, and then return it using the dedicated return envelope (postage covered by us) included with your amulet. .
※We do not charge a fee for the otakiage ceremony.
