Keisuke Teshima, Kyoto Ichibitsu-ryu Artist

His technique of depicting beautiful and delicate, yet sometimes fierce, dragon gods with a single brushstroke is highly acclaimed not only in Japan but also overseas. He learned the spirit of the Japanese Way through 14 years of "Karate-do" from the age of 6, and has been fascinated by dragons since childhood, continuing to paint them. He encountered "Ippitsu-ryu" (one-stroke dragon painting), which has been handed down since ancient times, and was deeply impressed by its technique and history, learning the skill through self-study. He held his first successful solo exhibition in Ginza in his first year as a professional, and then went global. With the belief of "bringing Japanese tradition to the world!", he held exhibitions and performances at 13 venues in Los Angeles, New York, Washington, and Florida. While preserving the tradition of Ippitsu-ryu that has continued since the Edo period, he pursues dragons with the spirit of "Shuhari" (to learn, to detach, to transcend).

All of the approximately 10 million yen raised from the Ippitsu-ryu charity auction at "Duterte's Kitchen" in the Philippines was donated to street children. Through this connection, I had the opportunity to perform a live Ippitsu-ryu drawing and present it to Manny Pacquiao at the Philippine Parliament Building.
